Let it Shine

Ik had het even in de koelkast gezet, maar nu heb ik toch weer de lessen van het Altenew Educator Certification Program opgepakt.

I had to put it on hold for a while, but now I'm ready to continue the classes of the Altenew Educator Certification Program.

Ik was gebleven bij de lessen van "Let it Shine". Ik had af en toe wel al de video's gekeken en ook al hier en daar de tips op mijn kaarten toegepast, maar ik moest nog wel mijn opdracht voor deze lessen maken.

I had stayed with the lessons of "Let it Shine". I already watched the videos once and a while and I also have applied the tips to my cards, but I still had to make my final project.

Voor mijn kaarten heb ik de stempelset Prettiest Pomander (uiteraard van Altenew) gebruikt. En als ik in laagjes ga stempelen heb ik altijd een test-exemplaar - om te kijken of mijn laagjes goed op elkaar komen - en het goede exemplaar. Maar het stempelen met deze set ging zo makkelijk dat ik van het test-exemplaar ook een kaart heb gemaakt.

For my cards I used the stampset Prettiest Pomander (from Altenew of course). When I'm stamping with layerd stamps I always have one test copy - to see if I have the layers correct - and the example I'm going to work with. But stamping with this set was very easy, so I alse made a card with my test copy.

Voor mijn project had ik donkerblauw met goud in gedachten. Niet teveel goud (want ik hou eigenlijk helemaal niet van goud, maar zilver vond ik te koel worden), maar zoals in de lessen is geleerd "hier en daar een accentje".
Ik heb eerst alle bloemen gestempeld met de inkten van Altenew, waarbij ik 2 bosjes in een lichtere tint en 1 in een donkerdere tint heb gemaakt. Vervolgens op donkerblauw cardstock 2 stroken dubbelzijdig plakband geplakt in verschillende breedtes en hier goud embossingpoeder overheen gestrooid. Van de Happy Birthday Builder set een mooie tekst erbij gezocht en ook met goud embossingpoeder bewerkt. Vervolgens alles verhit. Mijn 3 bloemenbosjes op de kaart geplakt, waarbij ik de donkere met foam verhoogd heb opgeplakt. Tot slot nog een paar Nuvo Drops erbij in de goude glimmer kleur.

I was thinking of a dark blue with gold project. Not too much gold (because I don't like gold that much, but silver made my card "too cold"), but like I saw in the classes bits and pieces of gold.
I started with stamping the flowers with the inks of Altenew, 2 bunches of flowers lighter of colour and 1 bunch a bit darker. Then I put 2 strips of double sided tape in different widths on my basecard and some gold embossingpowder. I took a nice stamp from the Happy Birthday Builderset and made it also gold with the embossingpowder. Then I made a composition with the flowers and used foamtape on the darker bunche. Last step was some Nuvo Glimmer Drops in gold.

En op de kaart van mijn test exemplaar heb ik ook goud accenten gemaakt, maar dan net even anders 😊
